Single malt from the Tomatin distillery, matured for an impressive 40 years before being bottled at 43% ABV. Spending decades in Oloroso sherry casks has imparted bountiful dark fruit notes and warming spice. Stunning stuff.

Tasting Note

A gloriously mature nose (American oak, ex-Oloroso sherry), with tropical fruits as a top note (pineapple, papaya, banana), with a shake of paprika, scented hand cream in the middle and sandalwood at the base, with a suggestion of linseed oil. The texture is unctuous and lively for its age. The taste is sweet overall, with a trace of salt and a long, warming spicy finish. Ripe peach in the aftertaste.
