The Macallan Colour Collection 12 Year Old is part of a new range of age-statement whiskies from The Macallan, designed to celebrate the natural colors derived from sherry cask maturation. This collection includes whiskies aged 12, 15, 18, 21, and 30 years, with each expression showcasing a different hue and flavor profile influenced by the type of oak casks used.

The packaging and campaign artwork are inspired by the natural colors of the Sherry region and the orchards of Jerez de la Frontera. The design features soft orange brushstrokes and a wave pattern that mirrors the unique roof design of The Macallan's new distillery.

Tasting Note

Nose

Sweet oak, lemon peel, vanilla biscuits, and pear.

Palate

Syrup sponge with citrus curd, orchard fruits, and a hint of nutmeg. Other reviews mention honey, fruits, and a touch of light honey and vanilla, complemented by subtle apple undertones.

Finish
