The Macallan 18 Year Old Colour Collection is a part of The Macallan's new range of age-statement whiskies that celebrate the natural colors derived from sherry cask maturation. This collection is designed to highlight the influence of sherry seasoning and the natural hues that develop over time in the oak casks.

The packaging and campaign artwork are inspired by the natural colors of the Sherry region and the orchards of Jerez de la Frontera. The design features soft orange brushstrokes and a wave pattern that mirrors the unique roof design of The Macallan's new distillery.

Tasting Note

Nose

Vanilla, milk chocolate, orange, and honeycomb. Other reviews mention chocolate and Seville orange, reminiscent of chocolate honeycomb Crunchie bars and the bitterness of expensive, chunky marmalade.

Palate

Rich and multi-layered with flavors of vanilla sponge, milk chocolate with orange, citrus peel, oak, and honeycomb. Additional notes include chocolate and Seville orange.

Finish

Medium with sweet oak and orange.
