Strathearn Distillery Batch 1

Volume: 700ml / ABV: 46.6%

It's the first release of Strathearn Highland Single Malt! The distillery in deepest Perthshire joined the Douglas Laing family in October 2019 and aligns with our approach of offering Small Batch bottlings at 46.6% ABV, without coloring or chill-filtration. This expression is matured in the European oak and ex-sherry casks for 3 years, resulting in a soft and mellow style with rich red fruit notes and a subtle sweetness.

Tasting Note

Nose

A dry oak style balanced by caramel with a touch of vanilla.

Palate

Sherried, with toffee, leather and dried fruits.

Finish

Lots of butterscotch, honeyed barley and oat biscuits.
