Staoisha refers to a heavily peated single malt produced at the Bunnahabhain Distillery, located on the northeast coast of Islay. While Bunnahabhain is traditionally known for its unpeated or lightly peated whiskies, the Staoisha spirit showcases the distillery's more robust, smoky side, often bottled by independent bottlers.

This style offers classic Islay character—intense peat smoke, sea spray, and a medicinal touch—while retaining Bunnahabhain’s maritime complexity. Staoisha releases are typically youthful, high-strength, and non-chill-filtered, appealing to peat lovers seeking bold flavors and coastal influence.

This lot offers the fantastic opportunity to own one cask of Staoisha peated single malt scotch whisky, distilled in 2021.

The cask was regauged in January 2025, summarizing the following:

- New bulk 226 liters | New strength 63.5% ABV | 144 liters of alcohol

This would currently yield approximately 321 x 70cl bottles of whisky.

IMPORTANT:

- Annual cask storage fee as well as any cask transfer admin fees will become payable by the buyer.

- Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by Whisky Gallery. Funds will be held by Whisky Gallery until the buyer is in legal receipt of the cask ownership to protect the buyer's transaction.

- Ownership of this cask is auctioned in bond. The buyer will be responsible for any costs relating to removing the cask from bond in the future (i.e UK excise duty / VAT) as well as any other costs associated with cask movement and bottling.
