From Shindo Distillery, the “EXPERIMENTAL” Series represents the distillery’s philosophy of approaching whisky-making as humble challengers, offering the best expression they can achieve at each stage rather than a final product.

EXPERIMENTAL 02 continues this journey, focusing on craftsmanship, spirit maturation over time, and the idea of “our origin,” showing the evolution from EX01 through further aging and cask development.

It is a non-peated vatting of 89% bourbon cask, 6% Oloroso sherry cask, and 5% brandy cask. Compared to EX01, it has greater depth and structure due to more mature spirit and broader cask influence.

The result is a fruit-forward whisky with estery aromas, dried fruit notes, and Shindo’s signature milky, toffee-like sweetness, showing a more refined and developed expression of their style.
