From Shindo Distillery, the “EXPERIMENTAL” Series marks the beginning of its whisky journey, built on a spirit of innovation and humble exploration as a new challenger in Japanese whisky.

EXPERIMENTAL 01 is designed around expressing Shindo’s identity, focusing on its signature milky, fatty, lactone-driven character while reducing immaturity through careful cask selection and extensive blending trials.

The final vatting is 91% bourbon cask, 4% new Mizunara cask, 4% Oloroso sherry cask, and 1% Scotch refilled cask, chosen to balance Shindo’s core spirit with subtle layers of spice, sweetness, and depth.

Bottled at 50% ABV, it is designed to be enjoyed neat or with water, allowing the whisky to open up and evolve with different drinking styles.

The result is a clean, creamy, and toffee-like whisky that highlights Shindo’s distinctive spirit character in a simple and approachable form.
