From Shindo Distillery, this 3 Year Old (2022–2025) single malt is part of the “Mahjong Series – 四筒 (Four Circles)”, an experimental cask selection series showcasing different expressions of young Shindo whisky.

This release is a peated single malt, matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel #10185, highlighting a pure and direct interaction between spirit and oak.

The bourbon cask brings classic notes of vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak, while the light peat adds a gentle smoky backbone without overpowering the profile. Shindo’s signature new make character—milky, fatty, and slightly toffee-like—sits underneath, giving the whisky a creamy and rounded texture.
