Royal Lochnagar 12 Year Old

Volume: 700ml / ABV: 40%

This 12 year old was distilled at the Lochnagar distillery, a favourite of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as it's conveniently situated close by Balmoral Castle. Royal Lochnagar was originally a key ingredient in VAT 69, but most production is now for single malts.

Tasting Note

Nose

Creamy, aromatic nose with hints of hay, malted barley, oak and mixed peels.

Palate

Soft smoke and gingerbread, oodles of toasty spices, Demerara sugar and boiled sweets.

Finish

The finish is all about grass and honey.
