From Douglas Laing's region-showcasing Provenance indie bottling range comes a 5 year old Blair Athol single malt Scotch whisky. It was distilled in 2014, spent over five years in a sherry butt and then bottled at 46% ABV, which yielded an outturn of 449 bottled.

Tasting Note

Nose

Delicate notes of sherry, toffee, caramel, cherries, plums, roasted nuts, a touch of licorice, allspice and a pinch of pepper.

Palate

Honey breakfast cereals, toffee-coated apples, Hungarian jam, cinnamon buns, notes of black pepper and nutmeg.

Finish

Medium long, with notes of toffee, honey nuts, summer berries, nutmeg and oak.
