A beautiful Highlands single malt from the Ben Nevis distillery bottled for the Provenance series by Douglas Laing. This single cask bottling was distilled in November 2012 and matured in refill hogshead, bottled in March 2023 at 46% ABV with an outturn of 361 bottles only.

Tasting Note

Nose

Big, unctuous, and full of cereal, cocoa, citrus, mocha and aromatic spice hues.

Palate

The (now sugared and alcohol-soused) citrus appears early with barley later.

Finish

Honey shows to the fore, with drier soft spices and a cereal-based gristiness.
