Provenance Balmenach 10 Year Old 2011

Volume: 700ml / ABV: 46%

Single cask single malt from the Balmenach Distillery, independently bottled up by those wonderful Douglas Laing folks. This one was distilled in April 2011 and aged for a decade until September 2021, when it was drawn from a refill butt cask for the Provenance series. 867 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note

Nose

Richly honeyed, with a layer of marmalade and toasted barley underneath.

Palate

Still has a distinctly orangey sweetness to it, now with cinnamon and flaky pastry tagging along.

Finish

Nutty bread with some salted butter, dry oak, and honey once more.
