Old Particular Glen Spey 12 Year Old 2009

Almost invisible in Diageo's vast portfolio of distilleries, Glen Spey is one of the cornerstones of the J&B blends. There are no proper distillery bottlings, so instead we simply cross our fingers and wait patiently for an indie bottler like Douglas Laing to offer us something cool like this 12 year old from the Old Particular line. 361 bottles from refill hogshead, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2021. 

Tasting Note

Nose

Freshly cut grass and honeycomb with hints of juicy green apples.

Palate

Malted biscuits, sweet cinnamon and fresh melon and pineapple.

Finish

Long and fruity with tropical notes, plus more late honeycomb.
