Old Particular Aultmore 12 Year Old 2010

12 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Aultmore, a marvellous distillery in the prolific Speyside region. It was distilled in 2010 and eventually drawn from a refill hogshead in 2023, with 299 bottles produced. Yet another excellent indie bottling from Douglas Laing's Old Particular range.

Tasting Note

Nose

Clean, floral and refreshing with macerated fruit and crushed cereal.

Palate

Intriguingly oaked early, running to grist and a spearmint crisp quality.

Finish

Real sweetness to the fore, with a later mint and chocolate style.
