Old Particular Allt-á-Bhainne 12 Year Old 2008

Volume: 700ml / ABV: 48.4%

Independently bottled single malt Scotch whisky, matured for 12 years, from 2008 to 2021 in a single refill hogshead. After that slumber, it was bottled by Douglas Laing for the popular Old Particular range, with only 411 bottles produced.

Allt-A-Bhainne might not blow anyone's socks off, but we're certain that this will be a very good session Speysider with plenty of sweet fruit and biscuity barley notes at a great value price.

Tasting Note

Nose

Aromatic, rich and full of citric fruits, vanilla toffee, ginger, pepper and grist.

Palate

Tannic, with further spices amongst the barley, golden syrup and damp earth.

Finish

Unexpectedly gently smoked, with later zesty marmalade on toast flavors.
