Martell is a prestigious brand of cognac founded in 1715 by Jean Martell. Since then, it has perpetuated the tradition of high-end cognac by offering exceptional products. The Cordon Rubis 1980 is no exception to the rule and is one of the jewels of the Martell range.

This cognac is made from grapes from the Cognac region, more precisely from the vineyards of Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, two terroirs renowned for the quality of their grapes. Cordon Rubis 1980 is distilled in copper stills using traditional methods, before being aged for 40 years in French oak barrels.

The result is a cognac of great finesse and rare elegance. The nose reveals subtle aromas of candied fruits and vanilla, accompanied by a slight touch of wood. On the palate, the fruit notes become more present, with flavors of apricot and fig, ending with a persistent and delicate finish.

The Martell Cognac Cordon Rubis 1980 is also distinguished by its intense ruby color, which reminds the color of some precious stones. This color is obtained thanks to the prolonged aging of the cognac in oak barrels, which also gives it woody and spicy notes.
All in all, the Martell Cognac Cordon Rubis 1980 is ideal to taste at the end of a meal, accompanied by a good cigar or fine chocolates.
