Laizhou Distillery is located in Qionglai, Sichuan, the historic first stop on the Silk Road west of Chengdu. Before constructing the distillery, the founders visited more than 100 distilleries worldwide, ensuring that Laizhou captured the very best practices from across the global whisky industry.

Laizhou’s Chinese Single Malt Whisky is matured in a carefully curated combination of Chinese fortified wine casks, new American oak, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, and ex-American bourbon casks. This diverse cask maturation creates a complex and distinctive flavour profile inspired by Chinese Rock Tea.

On the palate, the whisky reveals elegant notes of red apple, pear, cinnamon, cream cake, and dried fruit, delivering depth, balance, and a refined mouthfeel.
