Kweichow Moutai Chiew, China’s national liquor, is produced in Maotai Town, Guizhou. Crafted from sorghum and Chishui River water, it undergoes a year-long multi-stage fermentation and distillation, then aged in clay jars to develop its signature sauce aroma (酱香) style.

Tasting Note

Nose
Savoury soy sauce, sesame, herbal roots, and ripe tropical fruit.

Palate
Bold and silky, with layers of fermented grains, cocoa, and dried apricot.

Finish
Long and warming, leaving notes of soy, roasted nuts, and gentle spice.
