This gin is a unique expression of the Old Tom style, which is traditionally sweeter than London Dry gin. The name "Ki No Tou" translates to "Tree of Sugar," reflecting the use of brown sugar (kokuto) from Yonaguni, Japan's westernmost inhabited island, in its production. The gin is known for its artisanal quality and the use of local Japanese botanicals, including gyokuro (a type of green tea) and sanshō pepper.
