The Kanosuke Hioki Pot Still is made at the family's Hioki distillery and has been distilled using a combination of unmalted and malted barley, and distilled carefully in a pot still. Matured in new American white oak casks and bourbon barrels, they create a powerful yet gentle new flavour for this whisky.
Hioki translates to "Place where picturesque Sun sets"!
Tasting Notes
Aroma of cocoa, vanilla, and baking spices. The palate has a lot of darker notes like stewed fruit and leather, that is drying and ends in a medium finish.
