About the distillery

Inchmurrin is a single malt whisky produced by the Loch Lomond Distillery, located in Alexandria, near the southern end of Loch Lomond in the Highlands of Scotland. The brand is named after Inchmurrin Island, the largest island on Loch Lomond, reflecting its smooth and gentle character.

Loch Lomond Distillery is unique for its versatility—it produces both malt and grain whisky and has multiple still types, including traditional pot stills and specially designed Lomond stills. Inchmurrin is made using these Lomond stills, which allow for precise control over the spirit’s style, creating a lighter and fruitier profile.

Inchmurrin single malts are known for their fresh, floral, and fruity notes, often featuring hints of melon, citrus, green apple, and vanilla. The style contrasts with other heavier, peatier Highland malts, making it a distinct and elegant choice.

While Loch Lomond distillery itself has a wide range of labels, Inchmurrin stands out as a refined and approachable expression of their craftsmanship.

Other Information

This lot offers the fantastic opportunity to own one cask of Inchmurrin single malt scotch whisky, distilled in 2016.

The cask was regauged in January 2025, summarizing the following:

- New bulk 267 liters | New strength 63.5% ABV | 170 liters of alcohol

This would currently yield approximately 379 x 70cl bottles of whisky.

IMPORTANT:

- Annual cask storage fee as well as any cask transfer admin fees will become payable by the buyer.

- Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by Whisky Gallery. Funds will be held by Whisky Gallery until the buyer is in legal receipt of the cask ownership to protect the buyer's transaction.

- Ownership of this cask is auctioned in bond. The buyer will be responsible for any costs relating to removing the cask from bond in the future (i.e UK excise duty / VAT) as well as any other costs associated with cask movement and bottling.
