About the distillery

Inchfad is not a separate distillery, but rather a heavily peated single malt produced by the Loch Lomond Distillery, located in the Highlands of Scotland. Loch Lomond is known for its unique versatility—it produces a wide variety of spirit styles under different names, including Inchmurrin, Croftengea, and Inchfad.

The name “Inchfad” comes from a small island on Loch Lomond and is used to identify one of the more heavily peated spirit types produced using the distillery’s pot stills. Inchfad is characterized by rich smoky notes balanced by fruity Highland character, and is sometimes seen in independent bottlings or special releases.

Loch Lomond’s innovation in using various still types (including straight-neck stills) allows them to create a wide range of profiles, making Inchfad a distinct peated expression within the distillery’s portfolio.

Other Information

This lot offers the fantastic opportunity to own one cask of Inchfad single malt scotch whisky, distilled in 2022.

The cask was regauged in January 2025, summarizing the following:

- New bulk 241 liters | New strength 61.2% ABV | 147 liters of alcohol

This would currently yield approximately 342 x 70cl bottles of whisky.

IMPORTANT:

- Annual cask storage fee as well as any cask transfer admin fees will become payable by the buyer.

- Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by Whisky Gallery. Funds will be held by Whisky Gallery until the buyer is in legal receipt of the cask ownership to protect the buyer's transaction.

- Ownership of this cask is auctioned in bond. The buyer will be responsible for any costs relating to removing the cask from bond in the future (i.e UK excise duty / VAT) as well as any other costs associated with cask movement and bottling.
