About the distillery

The Glenlivet Distillery, founded in 1824 by George Smith, is one of the most iconic names in Scotch whisky. Owned by Chivas Brothers (a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard), The Glenlivet has a vast portfolio ranging from classic age statements like the 12, 15, and 18 Year Old, to special cask finishes and limited editions. Its production combines traditional copper pot stills with carefully selected oak casks to deliver consistency and character.

Other Information

This lot offers the fantastic opportunity to own one cask of Glenlivet single malt scotch whisky, distilled in 2007.

The cask was regauged in January 2025, summarizing the following:

- New bulk 304 liters | New strength 59.1% ABV | 179 liters of alcohol

This would currently yield approximately 431 x 70cl bottles of whisky.

IMPORTANT:

- Annual cask storage fee as well as any cask transfer admin fees will become payable by the buyer.

- Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by Whisky Gallery. Funds will be held by Whisky Gallery until the buyer is in legal receipt of the cask ownership to protect the buyer's transaction.

- Ownership of this cask is auctioned in bond. The buyer will be responsible for any costs relating to removing the cask from bond in the future (i.e UK excise duty / VAT) as well as any other costs associated with cask movement and bottling.
