Glenfiddich 26 Year Old Grande Couronne

Speyside's Glenfiddich Distillery turned to France for inspiration when creating Grande Couronne. This 26-year-old single malt was first aged in a combination of American and European oak casks, then finished for an extended two-year period in French oak casks previously used for Cognac. A rarity in the whisky world, it's a lavish and indulgent offering, showcased in an elegantly ornate bottle and presentation box.

Tasting Note

Nose

Vibrant and lively with an abundance of toasty oak sweetness. Reminiscent of a French pâtisserie, freshly-baked Tarte Tatin and buttery choux pastry.

Palate

Deep, velvety smooth and indulgently sweet. Café crème with soft brown sugar and a hint of spice.

Finish

Very long-lasting sweet oak.
