About the distillery

Glenburgie Distillery, originally founded in 1810 (though officially licensed in 1829), is located near Forres in the Speyside region of Scotland. It is one of the core distilleries supplying malt whisky for the Ballantine’s blend, which makes Glenburgie an essential part of one of the world’s most popular Scotch whiskies.

The distillery produces a soft, fruity, and creamy style of single malt, often characterized by orchard fruits, honeyed malt, and floral notes. Though not widely seen as a standalone single malt, Glenburgie has gained recognition through independent bottlers and occasional official releases, showing its elegant and approachable character.

Glenburgie underwent major renovations in the early 2000s, with a near-complete rebuild while retaining the traditional production methods. Today, it is owned by Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard), and continues to play a vital role in both blending and single malt circles.

This lot offers the fantastic opportunity to own one cask of Glenburgie single malt scotch whisky, distilled in 2007.

The cask was regauged in January 2025, summarizing the following:

- New bulk 241 liters | New strength 53.2% ABV | 128 liters of alcohol

This would currently yield approximately 342 x 70cl bottles of whisky.

IMPORTANT:

- Annual cask storage fee as well as any cask transfer admin fees will become payable by the buyer.

- Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by Whisky Gallery. Funds will be held by Whisky Gallery until the buyer is in legal receipt of the cask ownership to protect the buyer's transaction.

- Ownership of this cask is auctioned in bond. The buyer will be responsible for any costs relating to removing the cask from bond in the future (i.e UK excise duty / VAT) as well as any other costs associated with cask movement and bottling.
