About the distillery

Glen Moray Distillery is located in Elgin, in the heart of Speyside, and has been producing single malt Scotch whisky since 1897. Originally a brewery, it was converted into a distillery and quickly became known for its approachable and versatile whisky style.

Glen Moray is celebrated for its experimentation with cask maturation, including the use of wine, port, and sherry casks to enhance its flavor range. Its core expressions often display sweet, malty notes with hints of toffee, vanilla, and soft fruits.

The distillery is known for producing reliable and affordable single malts that appeal to both new whisky drinkers and seasoned fans. It is currently owned by La Martiniquaise-Bardinet, one of France’s largest spirits companies.

Glen Moray continues to build its reputation with a growing portfolio of age-stated and cask-finished releases that showcase the distillery’s commitment to accessible Speyside whisky.

Other Information

This lot offers the fantastic opportunity to own one cask of Glen Moray single malt scotch whisky, distilled in 2007.

The cask was regauged in January 2025, summarizing the following:

- New bulk 162 liters | New strength 55.7% ABV | 90 liters of alcohol

This would currently yield approximately 228 x 70cl bottles of whisky.

IMPORTANT:

- Annual cask storage fee as well as any cask transfer admin fees will become payable by the buyer.

- Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by Whisky Gallery. Funds will be held by Whisky Gallery until the buyer is in legal receipt of the cask ownership to protect the buyer's transaction.

- Ownership of this cask is auctioned in bond. The buyer will be responsible for any costs relating to removing the cask from bond in the future (i.e UK excise duty / VAT) as well as any other costs associated with cask movement and bottling.
