About the distillery

Dalmunach Distillery is located in Carron, in the Speyside region of Scotland. It was officially opened in 2015 by Chivas Brothers, a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard, making it one of the newest and most modern malt whisky distilleries in Scotland.

The distillery was built on the site of the former Imperial Distillery, which had been closed and demolished in 2013. Dalmunach was designed with state-of-the-art equipment, emphasizing energy efficiency, sustainability, and high-volume production, while still crafting quality single malt whisky.

Dalmunach produces a Speyside-style single malt, which is typically fruity, floral, and smooth, designed mainly for use in Chivas Regal and other Pernod Ricard blends. However, a small number of independent bottlings and official single malt expressions have emerged in recent years, showcasing its potential as a standalone whisky.

Other Information

This lot offers the fantastic opportunity to own one cask of Dalmore single malt scotch whisky, distilled in 2016.

The cask was regauged in January 2025, summarizing the following:

- New bulk 264 liters | New strength 67.1% ABV | 177 liters of alcohol

This would currently yield approximately 375 x 70cl bottles of whisky.

IMPORTANT:

- Annual cask storage fee as well as any cask transfer admin fees will become payable by the buyer.

- Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by Whisky Gallery. Funds will be held by Whisky Gallery until the buyer is in legal receipt of the cask ownership to protect the buyer's transaction.

- Ownership of this cask is auctioned in bond. The buyer will be responsible for any costs relating to removing the cask from bond in the future (i.e UK excise duty / VAT) as well as any other costs associated with cask movement and bottling.
