About the Distillery

Aultmore Distillery was established in 1897 by Alexander Edward in Keith, Banffshire, in the heart of Speyside, Scotland. Known for producing a light and fragrant style of single malt whisky, Aultmore has traditionally been a key component in blended whiskies, especially in Dewar’s blends.

For many years, Aultmore remained relatively obscure as a single malt brand, but in recent times it has gained recognition for its clean, grassy, and slightly herbal character. The distillery uses unpeated malt and water sourced from the nearby Auchinderran Burn.

Today, Aultmore is part of the Bacardi portfolio under John Dewar & Sons and is increasingly appreciated by single malt collectors and connoisseurs around the world.

Other Information

This lot offers the fantastic opportunity to own one cask of Aultmore single malt scotch whisky, distilled in 2012.

The cask was regauged in January 2025, summarizing the following:

- New bulk 197 liters | New strength 63.4% ABV | 125 liters of alcohol

This would currently yield approximately 279 x 70cl bottles of whisky.

IMPORTANT:

- Annual cask storage fee as well as any cask transfer admin fees will become payable by the buyer.

- Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by Whisky Gallery. Funds will be held by Whisky Gallery until the buyer is in legal receipt of the cask ownership to protect the buyer's transaction.

- Ownership of this cask is auctioned in bond. The buyer will be responsible for any costs relating to removing the cask from bond in the future (i.e UK excise duty / VAT) as well as any other costs associated with cask movement and bottling.
