About the Distillery

Ardmore Distillery was founded in 1898 by Adam Teacher and is located in Kennethmont, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Initially, the distillery produced peated malt whisky for blending, particularly for Teacher’s brand.

In the 1980s, Ardmore was acquired by Suntory, and it began releasing single malt expressions, such as Ardmore Legacy and Ardmore Tradition. Today, it is known for its distinctive peated flavor and traditional production methods.

Ardmore remains a key component in Teacher’s Highland Cream and is loved by single malt whisky enthusiasts worldwide.

Other Information

This lot offers the fantastic opportunity to own one cask of Ardmore single malt scotch whisky, distilled in 2024. 

The cask was regauged in January 2025, summarizing the following:

 - New bulk 198 liters | New strength 63.5% ABV | 126 liters of alcohol

This would currently yield approximately 280 x 70cl bottles of whisky.

IMPORTANT:

- Annual cask storage fee as well as any cask transfer admin fees will become payable by the buyer.

- Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by Whisky Gallery. Funds will be held by Whisky Gallery until the buyer is in legal receipt of the cask ownership to protect the buyer's transaction.

- Ownership of this cask is auctioned in bond.  The buyer will be responsible for any costs relating to removing the cask from bond in the future (i.e UK excise duty / VAT) as well as any other costs associated with cask movement and bottling.
