Ardbeg Kildalton 1981

Volume: 50 ml / ABV: 52.6%

An extremely rare Islay Single Malt, distilled during Ardbeg’s final production period before the distillery closed in 1981. It was made from a lower-peated style of Ardbeg, giving it a distinctive balance of sweet fruit and gentle smoke. The whisky shows flavours of orange marmalade, apricot, sweet malt, brine, tar, menthol and eucalyptus, developing into a rich, smoky and softly peated palate with subtle oak and coastal character. It was bottled in 2005 as part of “The Story of Peat” / Peat Pack, exclusively as a 50 ml miniature, making it a particularly collectible Ardbeg.
