The Ardbeg BizarreBQ Limited Edition is a unique single malt Scotch whisky produced by Ardbeg, a renowned distillery on the island of Islay, Scotland. This whisky is inspired by barbecue flavors and is crafted with a selection of three different cask types: double charred oak casks, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, and specially designed BBQ casks. This combination results in a whisky that is rich in smoky, sweet, and tangy flavors, reminiscent of summer grilling.

Tasting Note

Nose

The aroma is intensely smoky, with notes of charcoal, soot, and smoky wood. There are hints of peppered beef, burnt hickory, praline, and smoked barbecue sauce, complemented by a subtle berry jam and a touch of oak char.

Palate

The whisky presents a complex balance of peat, sweetness, and creaminess. Flavors of grilled meat seasoned with chili, pepper, cloves, star anise, and ginger are drizzled with maple syrup. Additional notes include rye bread, oak char, and a hint of smoked applewood.

Finish

The finish is medium in length, offering a combination of walnuts, smoked peaches, and ashy peat, with a faint touch of spearmint.
