Ardbeg Auriverdes

Ardbeg Auriverdes is a limited edition single malt Scotch whisky produced by the Ardbeg Distillery, located on the Isle of Islay in Scotland. Released in 2014, this whisky was created to celebrate Ardbeg Day and the 2014 FIFA World Cup held in Brazil. The name Auriverdes is derived from the Portuguese words auri (gold) and verdes (green), reflecting the colors of the Brazilian flag.

Tasting Note

Nose

The aroma features vanilla, citrus fruits, and peat, with underlying smoky and oaky tones. There are also tarry and herbal notes, complemented by hints of mocha.

Palate

The taste is characterized by medicinal notes with juicy fruits, notably peach, and floral hints. It also includes flavors of coffee grounds, smoked roast vegetables, and maple-cured bacon.

Finish

The finish is long and smoky, with lingering notes of vanilla and a touch of sourness.
