The Ardbeg Arrrrrrrdbeg Committee Release is a special edition whisky from the renowned Islay distillery, Ardbeg. This release was crafted to commemorate the retirement of Mickey Heads, the distillery manager and committee chairman, after 13 years of service. It is a limited edition bottling, matured exclusively in ex-rye casks, which is a distinctive choice compared to the typical maturation processes used by Ardbeg.

Tasting Note

Nose

The aroma is rich with notes of timber smoked banana and pear, complemented by hints of vanilla and rye. There are also subtle undertones of aniseed and smoked toffee.

Palate

On the palate, the whisky presents a spicy mouthfeel with a burst of fruity flavors, including melon and kiwi. Aniseed flavors are prominent, followed by smoked toffee and a hint of sourdough biscuits.

Finish

The finish is long and lingering, characterized by gentle smoke and a hint of sea spray, leaving a slightly nutty and smoky aftertaste.
