Tasting Note

Nose

The aroma is peaty with hints of classic Ardbeg limes, butterscotch, Caramac bars, and coaldust. It also has a delightfully complex spicy and perfumed nose.

Palate

The mouthfeel is tarry and peppery, with flavors of fruit, vanilla, toffee apples, and treacle toffee. It is sweet, malty, and smoky. Additional notes include lemon, melon, and a subtle hint of aniseed. When diluted, it reveals powerful earthy onion, smoke, chili-spicy, sweet vanilla, maritime, and salty flavors.

Finish

The finish is long, tingling, warming, and astringent, with spices, white pepper, and chili bursting in flashes across the tastebuds. It is very short, metallically young, and sweet, with a lot of ash in the finish.
