Ardbeg 1998 Almost There is a single malt Scotch whisky from the renowned Ardbeg distillery, located on the Isle of Islay. This particular release is part of a series that includes "Very Young" and "Still Young," leading up to the "Renaissance" bottling. Distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2007, it is the third release in this series. 

Tasting Note

Nose

The aroma is rich and complex, featuring a blend of peat smoke, citrus fruits, and vanilla. There are also hints of seaweed and medicinal notes, characteristic of Islay whiskies.

Palate

On the palate, it is full-bodied and robust, with flavours of smoky peat, sweet malt, and a touch of spice. The citrus notes continue, accompanied by hints of dark chocolate and espresso.

Finish

The finish is long and warming, with lingering peat smoke and a subtle sweetness that balances the overall profile.
