This is a limited-edition blend from the Antiquary, crafted in tribute to the company’s founders, John and William Hardie, who got their start in the business all the way back in 1880. This particular expression is made from whiskies that have spent at least fifteen years in the barrel; it’s limited to a run of just 6,000.

Tasting Note

Nose

Delicate plum wine, honey-roasted peanut and raspberry jam. Ripe banana and pear, on the cusp of overripe. Gingerbread and mixed peel.

Palate

Medium-light bodied. Well-integrated ripe orchard fruits (apples, pears, plums), some caramel, milk chocolate and hazelnut. Like eating a Florentine with applesauce. Subtle turmeric.

Finish

Medium. The nuts hang around for a while, before the apple reasserts itself.
